The small print
Cookie policy
This website sets a handful of cookies to make bookings work and keep the site secure, and one to measure how fast pages load. No advertising, no tracking you across the web. Here is the full list.

What this covers
Pia’s Place ("we", "us") uses cookies on www.piasplace.co.uk to make the website work and to keep it secure. This policy lists every cookie we place, what it is for and how long it lasts. It should be read with our privacy policy.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device. It lets the site remember you from one page to the next, for example so that a booking you started stays with you until you have paid. Cookies do not usually contain anything that identifies you directly.
The kinds we use
Strictly necessary
These are needed for the website to work: holding your session while you book, protecting that session from misuse, and letting the booking desk sign in. The site cannot work without them, so they are always on.
Performance
Our hosting platform, Wix, sets one cookie and one browser-storage item to measure how quickly and reliably pages load. They tell us about the health of the site, not about you as a person, and they are not used to build a profile or to target advertising.
Cookies we do not use
We do not place advertising or marketing cookies, we do not use cross-site tracking, and we do not run third-party analytics such as Google Analytics or social-media pixels. If that ever changes, this page will be updated and you will be asked before any such cookie is set.
Cookie list
Every cookie this website places. If you spot one that is not listed, tell us and we will fix the list.
| Cookie | Kind | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
__cf_bm | Strictly necessary | Set by Cloudflare, which protects our hosting platform from automated traffic. Tells real visitors apart from bots. | 30 minutes |
sec-fetch-unsupported | Strictly necessary | Set by our hosting platform to work round a browser security gap, so pages load correctly in older browsers. | Session |
wixSession | Strictly necessary | Holds your visitor session when you book or sign in, so your booking stays attached to you between pages. | Session, deleted when you close your browser |
client-session-bind | Strictly necessary | Security. Ties your session to your browser so it cannot be picked up and reused somewhere else. | Session |
server-session-bind | Strictly necessary | The server-side half of the pair above. Cannot be read by scripts running in your browser. | Session |
bSession | Performance | Set by our hosting platform to measure how well pages are loading. It measures the site, not you. | 30 minutes |
Browser storage
As well as cookies, the website keeps a little in your browser's own storage for the same purposes. These are not cookies, but we list them so nothing is hidden.
| Item | Kind | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
fedops.logger.sessionId | Performance | Groups your page loads into one visit so our hosting platform can measure loading speed. | Local storage, until you clear your browser data |
mpaSessionId | Strictly necessary | Identifies a single browsing session so pages render consistently. | Session storage, cleared when you close the tab |
Checkout and other sites
When you pay for a workshop, the payment step happens on a secure checkout page hosted by Wix. That page sets its own cookies, which are needed to take payment safely, and they are governed by Wix's own cookie and privacy policies. We never see or store your full card details.
The typefaces on this site are served by Google Fonts. Google does not set cookies for that, but your browser does fetch the font files from Google's servers, which see your IP address.
Links to other websites, including Google Maps and our workshop hosts, take you to sites whose cookies we have no control over.
How to control cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser's settings. Every browser lets you see what has been stored, delete it, and refuse cookies from a particular site. If you block the strictly necessary cookies you will not be able to book or sign in, but the rest of the site will still work.
For general help, including step-by-step instructions for each browser, see aboutcookies.org.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page whenever the cookies we use change. The date at the top shows when it was last reviewed.
