Terms of use

The rules for using this website. They are short, they are in plain English, and nothing in them takes away the rights the law gives you as a consumer.

About these terms

These terms apply between you and Pia’s Place ("we", "us"), the owner and operator of www.piasplace.co.uk (the "website"). By using the website you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

Our privacy policy, cookie policy and booking policy form part of these terms. Where they say something more specific than this page, they take precedence.

Bookings made through the site

When you book a place on a workshop or event through this website, a contract is formed between you and Pia’s Place once we have sent your confirmation email. Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where it applies. The details of paying, cancelling and refunds are in the booking policy.

You must be 18 or over to make a booking. If you are booking for someone else, or for a child at a session that welcomes them, you confirm that you have their permission to give us their details.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Our content

The words, photographs, illustrations, logos and design of this website belong to Pia’s Place or to the people who have let us use them, and are protected by copyright and trade mark law. You may view and print pages for your own personal use. You may not copy, republish, sell or otherwise use any of it commercially without our written permission. Images of workshop hosts' work remain the property of those hosts.

Using the site properly

You must not use the website:

  1. in any way that damages it or interferes with other people's use of it;
  2. to make bookings you do not intend to honour, or to submit false details;
  3. to send us anything unlawful, abusive or harmful through the contact form;
  4. to try to gain access to the booking desk or any other part of the site you are not authorised to use.

Sign-ins

Customers do not need an account to book. Where we give someone a sign-in to the booking desk, they must keep it private and tell us at once if they think it has been misused. We may suspend a sign-in if we believe it is being used improperly.

Availability and accuracy

We try to keep the website accurate and available, but we do not promise it will be free of errors or always online. Workshop listings, dates and prices are correct when published and may change; the booking page shows the current details at the time you book. If a listing contains an obvious mistake, for example a price shown as £0 by error, we may contact you to correct the booking or cancel it with a full refund.

We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the website at any time without notice.

Our responsibility to you

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for:

  1. death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
  2. fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
  3. anything else that the law does not allow us to limit or exclude.

Subject to that, we are not responsible for any loss that was not a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms, for business losses, or for any loss caused by events outside our reasonable control. Our total liability to you in connection with a booking is limited to the amount you paid for it.

The website links to other sites, including Google Maps and our workshop hosts' own pages. Those sites are not ours and we are not responsible for what is on them.

General

  1. If any part of these terms is found to be invalid, the rest still applies.
  2. If we do not enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.
  3. You may not transfer your rights under these terms to anyone else. We may transfer ours to someone who takes over the business, provided your rights are not affected.
  4. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings there.
  5. We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the current version; changes apply from the date they are published.
